Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) - Second Grant
Self employed individuals can now make a claim for the second SEISS grant. The qualifying criteria for this grant is the same as for the first SEISS grant that was issued back in May. So, if you qualified for the first SEISS grant, you will qualify for this second grant.
Any taxpayers that qualify for the grant should have already been contacted by HMRC and advised of their claim date.
HMRC has staggered the dates from which taxpayers are able to make claims to avoid overloading their system.
As with the last SEISS grant, I am unable to submit the claim on behalf of my clients. All claims must be submitted by the taxpayer through their own HMRC government gateway account.
Please note, there is a filing deadline of 19 October 2020, so any claims must be submitted by this date.
